A Berlin-based italian media artist focusing on algorithmic drawings and interactive computing in digital morphogenetic processes. Was trained in classical music before moving on to electronic music and had always maintained a musical approach to his visual production, using code as an expressive musical instrument. Coming from a family of photographers, he developed a sensitivity for images from an early age. He studied philosophy of science with a minor in computers, then started to work in between art and science. Over the years he developed various projects under the names Ran Ancor and Extralight, using custom-designed software and hardware for the construction of dynamic complex systems, working on electronic audiovisual live-set, photonics modulators, vjing, light installations, wearable performances and generative synthetic media.
