I am printing new works and preparing a major exhibition for next month at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin.
My work intersects with that of the MPI in a number of ways, including an interdisciplinary approach to understanding complex phenomena, a critical analysis of technology and its socio-political impact, and a consideration of its ethical implications. The Radical Dualism project is particularly relevant to the Centre for Humans and Machines’ research and interests in understanding human-machine interactions: the project’s use of interactive programming and patching environments to manipulate algorithms in real time reflects a form of human-machine collaboration in creative expression.
