A Berlin-based Italian media artist focusing on algorithmic drawing and interactive computing in digital morphogenetic processes. Trained in classical music before turning to electronic music, he has always maintained a musical approach to his visual production, using code as an expressive musical instrument. Coming from a family of photographers, he developed a sensitivity to images from an early age. He studied Philosophy of Science with a minor in Computer Science and started working between art and science. Over the years he has developed various projects under the names Ran Ancor and Extralight, using custom-designed software and hardware to construct dynamic complex systems, working on electronic audiovisual live sets, photonic modulators, vjing, light installations, wearable performances and generative synthetic media.
